About the Event
Storytime at the Station is a heartwarming community experience that brings families and first responders together through the power of storytelling.
Hosted by Wave of Unity in collaboration with local fire and police departments, each event features a uniformed officer or firefighter reading a children’s book aloud, followed by interactive fun like Q&A time, photo opportunities, and a chance to explore the station (based on availability). 💛
This free monthly event is designed to:
✔ Spark joy and create connection between kids and everyday heroes
✔ Promote early literacy and a love of reading
✔ Encourage positive, trust-building interactions with first responders
