At Wave of Unity (WOU), we believe in creating spaces where youth, families, and communities can thrive together. As we close out 2025 and step into a powerful new season, we want to share a few updates, opportunities, and invitations to join us in building something bigger than ourselves.
🛼 Save Cedar Hill Roller Rink with Wave & Roll
If you grew up in Cedar Hill—or anywhere in the Best Southwest—you already know the Cedar Hill Roller Rink. It’s more than a skating rink. It’s a community staple, a safe space, and the oldest roller rink in Texas.
For decades, owner David “Superdave” Candanoza has welcomed families, schools, and organizations, creating a place where memories are made and generations connect. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.

💵 $10 with skate rental | $9 if you bring your own skates

📚 Storytime at the Station
Launching this October, Storytime at the Station brings families and first responders together through positive engagement, literacy, and fun. Each event features a first responder reading stories, kid-friendly refreshments (yes—donuts & juice!), photo ops, and goodie bags.

We’re excited to announce the launch of Unity Talk, WOU’s weekly conversation series tackling the real issues that impact our youth, families, and communities.
Hosted by Wave of Unity, each one-hour episode will feature guests, real stories, and unfiltered discussions on topics that matter—from bullying prevention to family caregiving, youth empowerment, health, and beyond.

This is more than talk—it’s a platform for Real conversations that ignite action.
💜 The With You Fund
Leaving a violent relationship often means leaving everything behind. The With You Fund provides short-term crisis assistance for victims and families leaving domestic violence situations. From groceries to temporary housing support, the fund helps bridge the critical gap in the first 48 hours while connecting survivors to long-term resources.
🌊 Join the Wave – Be the Impact
At Wave of Unity, we believe lasting change happens when everyday people come together with purpose. That’s why we’re launching our Be The Impact Info Sessions—a space for community members, leaders, and partners to learn how they can stand with us.
During these sessions, you’ll discover opportunities to:

Partner with us to reach more youth, families, and communities.
Support through donations, sponsorships, or resources that help us expand our impact.
